The most common items of equipment we provide calibration checks for are:
We are also able to perform calibration checks on other equipment, so please ask us if we can help. Some specialised devices may need to be returned to the relevant service agent or supplier for calibration. We will advise you if this is the case.
All items undergoing calibration also receive an electrical safety test as part of the procedure
Our calibration service is unique!
We collect the unit in the late afternoon and return it calibrated and safety tested early on the following morning. This means an absolute minimum of downtime. An out-of-town courier service is also available.
Calibration measures the accuracy of outputs from the device compared to the indication of controls or meters. It also includes the accuracy of timing functions. Any safety features incorporated into the device are also checked.
The tests are carried out in accordance with the in-service safety and performance requirements of AS/NZS3551.
For every item of equipment that is tested we provide a test result form for the customer. In addition copies of all test results are stored in our records for a period of four years. This ensures that proof of calibration or safety verification is available at any time should it be asked for.
Two or three weeks before retesting is due we will contact your practice by telephone to arrange a suitable time for our next visit. This way you can be sure that your calibration certification is kept up to date.
Where an item does not meet the expected specification we will advise you of the best options for repair.
It is not our policy to carry out repairs on faulty equipment ourselves as this may be seen as a conflict of interest. However, at our discretion, we may repair minor compliance faults at the time of testing.
